Creamy Vanilla Butter Frosting

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup salted butter, softened

4 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar

1/4 cup milk

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Additional milk

 

DIRECTIONS

1) In large bowl, beat butter until fluffy. Gradually add 2 cups     of the powdered sugar, beating well.

2) Slowly beat in milk and vanilla.

3)  Gradually add remaining powdered sugar, beating until     combined. If necessary, beat in a little milk to make frosting      the best consistency for spreading.

4) Refrigerate left over frosting.

5) Enjoy!

 

TASTY OPTIONS:

SWEET CHOCOLATE BUTTER FROSTING
Add 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder to Creamy Vanilla Butter Frosting recipe.

HOLIDAY PEPPERMINT BUTTER FROSTING
Add drops of peppermint flavoring to Creamy Vanilla Butter Frosting to taste. Top with crushed peppermint candies (optional).

RICH COFFEE BUTTER FROSTING
Begin by making coffee milk: In 1 cup warmed milk, dissolve 5 tsp. espresso instant coffee. Let cool before using. Add ¼ cup coffee milk to Creamy Vanilla Butter Frosting. Adjust to your liking.
